Deadline Desk collects nothing, transmits nothing, and has no servers. Everything it reads stays in your own browser.
While you are signed in to Waterloo LEARN, the extension reads your course list, course announcements, and any assignment or quiz due dates posted in LEARN's own tools. When you open the Waterloo course outline site, it reads the assessment table from the outlines of courses you are enrolled in.
It reads these using the session your browser already has. It never asks for, sees, handles, or stores your WatIAM username or password, and it cannot sign in as you.
To refresh in the background without needing a LEARN page open, the extension keeps a copy of the session token that LEARN's own pages use to authorise requests. It is stored on your device alongside the rest of the data and is never transmitted anywhere.
This token is not your password. It cannot be used to sign in, it only works alongside cookies your browser already holds, and it expires. It is disclosed here, and as "authentication information" on the Chrome Web Store listing, because it is a credential and you are entitled to know it is held.
The Chrome Web Store listing discloses two categories of data: website content (your course names, announcements and outline tables) and authentication information (the session token described above). Both are held locally and neither is transmitted. No other category is collected.
Into your browser's local extension storage, on your own device. That is the only place it is kept. No data is sent to the developer or to any third party, because there is nowhere for it to be sent — the extension has no backend, no analytics, no telemetry, and no accounts.
Removing the extension deletes everything it stored.

Those two Waterloo sites are the only addresses it can reach. It has no access to any other site, tab, or browsing history.
Nothing. Every request it makes only reads. It cannot submit assignments, post, change, or delete anything in your courses.
Many instructors post deadlines as ordinary sentences rather than structured fields, so some dates are interpreted from text and can be wrong. Each one is labelled with where it came from and quotes the sentence it was read from. Treat it as a convenience, not as the authoritative source — your course outline and your instructor are.
